Socialisation & Puppy School
BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS
So you've made the big decision to bring a puppy into your lives!
Puppies have a small window of opportunity to get the most out of learning things about life early on. Dogs learn for their entire lifespan but we can help them adjust to our world easier if we can positively expose them to lots of things between 6-18 weeks of age.
Attend puppy class and learn the basics to positive training. Learn what you should be introducing your puppy to and how to do it properly.
Classes are kept small (no more than 4 puppies per class) so everyone is provided the best opportunity to get the most out of classes.
Crouch, Paws, Engage combined with Shelley Says sit!
Advanced Puppy classes:
(2-6 months of age)
Basic exercises and positive reinforcement training to start the puppies out on the right paw. Guidance is given to ensure that you know how to advance and progress with your training.
Education: toilet training, bite inhibition, and understanding what's normal so we can provide guidance and guardianship. We supervise and discuss appropriate play styles and behaviours, environment enrichment and desexing
FIGURING OUT THE WHO'S, WHAT'S AND WHY'S?
Sometimes our dogs don't work well in a group situation. That's o.k! During a private consultation I can visit you at home and get the full picture of how the dynamics of the household really are.
One-on-one personal appointments can be beneficial to suit with the owners time restraints and availability in the busy lifestyles we lead. It can also be a great way to be able to incorporate the whole family into training and get some solid and achievable 'house rules' in place.
You'll be provided specifically designed behaviour modification programs to help you and your family with the 'troubles' you may be facing and also give you some individual advice and attention that you deserve.
If we can set our dogs up to succeed, they will! Why would they ever want to fail for you on purpose? It's not how they are designed to think... They think you're the best thing ever and all they want to do is make you happy... Some days it can be hard to believe but it's true... Dogs really are a mans/womans best friend.
