Well that was different!
After my walk to the park today and playing with Ned and Tilly and running around in the wet grass and trying to see cats and finding a bit of cheesy bread roll (mum made me spit it out... not fair!)... I got sardines and kibble for breakfast and my normal 3 kongs (today they were stuffed with kibble, fresh apple and carrot and clogged up with cream cheese and peanut butter!) and my nutbutter ball ... but there was something new I had never had before... Berry Yoghurt.... totes yuuuummmm!
I got a Leadahose!!!
Check it out !
It's a lead... AND a hose!!!
Now why on earth would I want a lead that is also a hose ESPECIALLY when I am petrified of the hose (I shudder and cower at the thought of that awful thing that gets me all wet and makes me smell like coconuts and flowers)! My people tell me its because I'm a goose... last I checked (and I check regularly), I was a dog. I think what they mean is sometimes I'm a bit vague and not really clued into what's happening when I'm in my excited zone... what's my excited zone you ask? It's when my little car comes out to play, that crazy little zoom zoom zoom... or my human mates play cricket... just for ME!... (I'm the best wicket keeper EVER, because I stand directly in front of the batsman) or it's when I'm playing football, the best defender in town I might add. You see, when I'm in this zone, I forget how hot it is, I forget I need a rest, I forget to have a drink and I forget to snap out of it and sometimes I need an emergency cool down in the Summer. My new leadahose is going to save my life and help out my fellow hotdogs in need this summer.
It's sturdy, and reliable too... how do I know? I got to test the prototypes out to see if they were chew proof!
I think I've figured all this cuddle training stuff out... Mum said that it was going to be useful when we went to the vets. I love the vets! It smells of cats and liver treats!
We went to the vets last night because my people don't want me 'coughing like a dog' so I have to get vaccinated because some infected dogs drink out of the same bowl as me in the park and then we all get sick together... not cool dudes!... anyhoo... we went to the vets and I love my vet, she squirted something up my nose when I wasn't expecting it (unlike the ants that I accidently sniff up my nose during summer... silly ants crawling in the cracks... I always wonder what they do down there and then suddenly they are up my nose! What the?!), but then she gave me HEAPS of liver treats, I forgot about the nose thing... then she did it... she cuddled me... like I've never been cuddled... First I thought she was attempting to scratch my bum, I looked at Dad and thought... she's not very good at this... then she squeezed me really tight and it felt yucky... then... well then she stuck something where I don't like things stuck... I was so weirded out by such an unladylike activity I just stood there waiting for it all to be over - Good news is I am of the right temperature!
Long story cut short - I went to the vets, got poked and prodded, weighed and uncomfortably cuddled... then I got to see a cat and I ate a pigs ear on the way home. I love the vets.
I love the beach... and today... we went to the beach again! I hadn't been to the beach for such a long time and it was great fun! I enjoying weeing in the sea and chasing the birds that float on the water.
I like digging. I'm not allowed to dig in the dirt, I don't know why? But I am allowed to dig in the sand! Today mum said that I must of been trying to dig a hole all the way to China! What's a China?
Then I found a weird basket thing in the sea, It was so odd I tried to play with it but it just stay stuck doing not much.
I met a boy called Oscar. He was a good swimmer and he liked going on adventures with me over the sand dunes and through the trees.
I like swimming too! The water was cold but I didn't mind that much. The beach always smells great! I love that we can go to the beach again!
Sometimes my life is weird...
Ever since I came to my forever home my parents have insisted on something called 'cuddle training'. From what I can tell I get cheese and chicken and peanut butter and treats and more treats if I allow people the luxury of touching my entire awesomeness!? weird right? My mum said that some dogs are scared of being touched, especially if being randomly manhandled by strangers which can lunge unexpectedly and also being held tightly by big humans and little humans. I remember how awkward it was as it can feel threatening and she said that if I remember that it doesn't hurt me or nothing bad happens and I get cheese and chicken then I get more cheese and chicken for being my awesomeness... I say 'cuddle' me now humans! Cameron at the park helps me with my cuddle training, I am cheeky because I don't mind and I sit there waiting for cheese.
